I while back I created my second most popular tutorial of all time on Illustrator CS5s new features. It’s available here by the way Illustrator CS5 Tutorial.
I received a request from Vera to demonstrate how to recreate her wedding invitations. So in the video below I show you how to use the pen tool, how to figure out what font is used in a graphic and a bunch of other things.
The website I use to analyze fonts is called What the Font. The two sites I use most to get free fonts include 1001 Fonts and Da Font.
I also show you how to turn a blurry Jpeg into an EPS file and review everything not covered in the other tutorials in this Illustrator CS5 tutorial.

Hi!
I’ve really enjoyed watching your video’s.
Would you be able to make an offset path tutorial?
I’ve been watching this guys tutorial, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSd7_-ntdoo&list=FL03CTWMv91MKkCu0XuwJMIA&index=1&feature=plpp_video, however, it’s in a different language.
Much appreciated!
Kevin
Yes I can do that. I have a bunch of Illustrator tutorials in the works. I hope they help
Thanks for your FREE tutorials – however, I’m looking for CS5 Tuts for Christmas, do you have any available? I’ve been away from the “design world” for sometime and am trying to make a comeback (well, from when I went to school back in “09”). I’ve forgotten a lot of what I had learned, so I am looking for tuts to help me learn illustrator again, as well as the other adobe programs – I have Adobe CS5.5 M.C. I am creating a website with wix.com right now and have created an online profile with behance.net. Any advice on getting started and how to land my first client would be AMAZING appreciated! Thanks,
Jae of AutumnSunRising Designs 🙂
You’re very welcome 🙂 I have the Illustrator Tutorials and a Photoshop Tutorial. I also cover Flash and of course there are web design tutorials everywhere.
What type of client are you looking to get? What are you into, just design work or also web design
