Low Calorie RecipesToday I show you how to make some amazing low calorie dishes that are also low in fat and cholesterol! We will make Vegan Fried Eggs that taste exactly like a fried egg. We’ll make Veggie Bacon and Veggie BBQ Tofu that is unlike the nasty stuff you get in stores. Then will make the lowest calorie Vegan Cheese I have ever seen. ( 1/4 Cup is less then 50 Calories ) Then I’ll take a look at 40 calorie noodles called Tofu Shirataki that we’ll use for our Mac n’ Cheese.

How is My Diet Going?

I thought some people might like to know how much weight I lost? So far over the last 40 days of dieting I have lost 37 lbs 🙂

-------- Vegan Fried Egg --------

1. Cut out a 1/2 inch piece of Extra Firm Tofu to your liking

2. Cut out a hole in the middle for the yoke, but don't go the whole way through

3. Fry the tofu on high for about 3 minutes per side. 

4. Add a good amount of Salt and Pepper to taste

5. Mix 1 Tsp of Vegg Powder with 1/4 Cup of water

6. Heat the Vegg Mixture for 25 seconds in the microwave

7. Pure the Vegg mixture into the center of the tofu

-------- BBQ Tofu --------

1. Put tofu between 2 towels with cookie sheets on the top and bottom. Weight down for as long as possible, but at least for 1 hour.

2. Put 2 cups of water and 2 cups of wood chips in a pan

3. Blend Everything to Make the Marinade

a. 6 Tbs BBQ Sauce (Stubb's Smokey Mesquite BBQ Sauce is my favorite)
b. 4 Tbs Liquid Aminos or Soy Sauce
c. 6 Tbs Sugar Free Syrup (I prefer Vermonts Sugar Free Syrup)
d. 1 Tbs Sesame Oil
e. 4 Tbs Dijon Mustard
f. 1/2 Cup Water
g. 2 Tbs Honey
h. 1 Tbs Lime Juice
i. 1 Tbs White Miso Paste (You don't need this)

4. Soak the tofu overnight or for at least 1 hour in the marinade

5. Preheat oven to 280 degrees F

6. Put the slices of marinated tofu on a rack over the pan containing the wood chips

7. Cover with 2 layers of foil

8. Cook in the oven for 45 minutes

9. Remove the foil and raise the temperature to 375 degrees for 20 minutes

10. Flip and cook the tofu for 20 minutes between flips until your satisfied

11. To make the tofu extra crispy broil in your oven for 5 minutes a side until it is to your liking

-------- Veggie Bacon --------

1. Make another Marinade

a. 2 Tbs Nutritional Yeast
b. 2 Tbs Water
c. 4 Tbs BBQ Sauce (Stubb's Smokey Mesquite BBQ Sauce is my favorite)
d. 1/2 Tsp Liquid Smoke
e. 4 Tbs Liquid Aminos or Soy Sauce
f. 1 Tbs Onion Powder
g. 2 Tbs Sugar Free Syrup (I prefer Vermonts Sugar Free Syrup)

2. If you want the tofu to be very crunchy, cut it in half length wise to make it thinner

3. Put the BBQ Tofu in the marinade and let sit overnight, or for at least 1 hour

4. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F

5. Cook the tofu for 15 minutes per side until your happy with the texture

6. You can cook it for 5 minutes per side in the oven under the broiler to make it crunchier

7. You can also make it crunchier by cooking it in the microwave for 30 minutes at a time

-------- Low Calorie Cheese Sauce -------- 

Blend the following until creamy 

1 cup Cooked / Mashed Butternut Squash 
3/4 cup No Fat Yogurt or Non-Dairy Yogurt
3/4 cup Water 
1/2 Onion
5 Tbs Nutritional Yeasts 
1/4 cup Raw Cashews 
3 Tbs Tapioca Flour 
1/4 Cup Roasted Pepper
1 Tsp Salt to Taste 

Add additional Peppers, Nutritional Yeast, Yogurt and Salt until it tastes good to you.

Cook the sauce at 50% on your stove top for about 5 minutes

-------- Low Calorie Mac N' Cheese -------- 

1. I use Tofu Shirataki macaroni which is 40 Calories per package

2. Drain and rinse the Tofu Shirataki

3. Add it to 1/4 Cup of my Low Calorie Cheese Sauce and cook for about 3 minutes
