Homemade Falafel Recipe

Falafel RecipeI’m making an Adobe Premiere Pro CC Tutorial, so my wife and I decided to make a recipe video to show off what Premiere Pro can do. Our family loves Falafels so I decided to show how I make Homemade Falafels, Pita Bread, Sun-dried Tomato Hummus and a super tasty Yogurt Sauce. Here is my Food Processor and Thermometer Temperature Gun if anyone is interested. All the recipes follow below the video.

All the Recipes in this Video

30 oz Canned Chic Peas
2/3 Cup Chopped Fresh Parsley
4 Cloves Minced Garlic
4 Tbs Sesame Seeds
3 tsp Ground Cumin
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
6 – 8 Tbs White Flour

Refrigerate overnight for best results. Cover hands with flour and form mixture into a ball. Fry in vegetable oil at 350 degrees for about 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Blend the Following
1 ½ Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 ½ Cups White Flour
1 ½ tsp Salt
2 ½ tsp Active Yeast Dissolved in
1 1/3 Cup of Warm Water with
1 tsp of Sugar

Combine dry ingredients in a food processor with the dough hook plastic blade. Pure in the water / yeast mixture. Wait until it combines into a dough. Add 1 Tbs of flour at a time if needed. Pull off a golf ball sized piece and roll into a flat disk on flour. Bake for 5 minutes at 500 degrees.

Blend the Following
1 15 oz Can Chic Peas Drained
1 15 oz Can Chic Peas Not Drained
2 Tbs Minced Garlic
2 Tbs Lemon Juice
1 tsp Ground Cumin
½ tsp Paprika
4 Tbs Sesame Seeds
1 Tbs Pesto or ¼ Cup Fresh Basil
½ Cup Sundried Tomatoes
Sprinkle with Paprika, Chili Powder & Sesame Seeds

2 Tbs Finely Chopped Fresh Parsley
2 Tbs Finely Chopped Fresh Mint
1 Tbs Lemon Juice
1 Cup Yogurt
½ tsp Ground Cumin
3 Cloves Minced Garlic
½ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
