Blender TutorialIn this tutorial I will provide you with all the knowledge and artwork to 3D print Settlers of Catan on a 3D printer!!! I will cover how to print out 3D Blender models on a 3D printer. I’ll also cover how to import vector art from programs like Illustrator and Inkscape into Blender.

Cheat Sheet

Create Catan Tiles in Blender

I. Create a Hexagon in Blender

	A. Scene -> Set Units to Millimeters 
	
	B. Create Circle -> 6 Vertices -> 45.75 mm Radius -> Rotate Z -30 degrees
	
	C. Edit Mode -> Extrude : Enter -> Vector Z 6.35 (Lower Left Corner)
	
	D. e s -> Vector X, Y, Z Extrude Region .9 (Lower Left Corner)
	
	E. e s -> Vector Z 3.0
	
II. SVG Files 

	A. Save icons as SVG files
	
	B. Import SVG file
	
	C. Increase Scale in Blender to X & Y : 400
	
	D. Move SVG image over Hexagon -> Select both -> Edit Mode -> Knife Project (Cut 		Through Checked)
	
	E. Select faces of SVG image -> e Drag Z Blue Axis : Z
	
	F. Scale down whole Hex X & Y to .9
	
	G. Export as STL and open in Cura for Printing
