Edit the Coda Slider

Edit Coda SliderA couple of tutorials ago I showed you how to Make a Featured Content Slider using the Coda Slider. It is cross browser and very easy to edit.

Cross Browser Horizontal Menu

Cross Browser Horizontal MenuIn this article I’m going to kill a bunch of birds with a small pile of code.

Not only is this a cross browser horizontal menu that works on browsers all the way back to Internet Explorer 5.5. This menu works without JavaScript on all browsers except for IE 6 & 7.

On top of that the menu works with WordPress themes. In fact list used below is the automatically generated by WordPress.

I start out with a basic sketch that took me 10 minutes to draw. I explain what I’m thinking about as I create that sketch.

I then show you how to quickly draw everything using the free version of Artisteer. After everything looks nice I throw it into Adobe Illustrator for additional editing.

Awesome Web Designs

As I look for interesting websites, I normally am not impressed. I’m actually amazed that most every corporate website is either boring, or poorly laid out.

So, I gathered some of my favorite designs here. I tried to focus on sites that had both a great layout as well as typography.

I tried to avoid picking sites that had brilliant photos, or illustrations. I did this so I could focus on great layouts above all else.

Farfalle with Artichokes & Alfredo

Farfalle Artichoke AlfredoOne of my favorite meals can be prepared in no more than 15 minutes. And, if you want to fool people into thinking you are a great cook, this recipe is for you!

The mixture of artichokes, mint, and lemon make for an incredibly fresh taste. Then I add the parmesan and heavy cream for richness.

This truly is an amazing dish and who can beat making such a delicious meal for 6 in less than 15 minutes?
