To get an opportunity to win the next, you have between now and April the 11th to enter. What I’m looking for is for you to submit artwork that in some way incorporates either a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or a Galaxy Gear smart watch. The full rules can be found below.
I have some training in illustration so I will be able to appreciate your skill, so don’t feel that you need to simplify the art. It needs to be tasteful though. Submit links to your artwork in the comment section below. I will be the soul decision maker on who wins. Good Luck 🙂

Specific Rules for Entering the Next Contest
- You can only submit 1 image
- Post a link to the image below in the comments
- It must incorporate the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy Gear smart watch in some way, but they don’t need to be the focus of the image
- You can use any form of media, but I prefer traditional media like Pen, Pencil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Oil, Pastels, etc.
- The image must be tasteful
- My wife, an industrial designer, and myself, a trained illustrator, will be the sole decision makers on the winner
- I need a way to contact you, so leave your email below ( I won’t allow it to display in the comments and it won’t be used in any other way )
- The winner will receive a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and a Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch with free shipping
- Anyone in the world is eligible to win as long as it is possible to mail these items to you

Sure it can be anything. I may just say it can be a video of any type on anything as long as it doesn’t contain dark subject matter. I want it to be fun.

Yes you can use any tool that you’d like. The only requirement is that it has to be an Android app. You’ll also have to provide a way for me to download it.

Drawings need to be turned in by Noon, April 4th, 2014 EDT – Eastern Daylight Time. I haven’t decided on the specifics for the app contest yet. Hold off on submitting it until I announce it to make sure your app isn’t lost. Feel free to start making any type of app now. I don’t plan on requiring it to fit into any specific guidelines.

Please hold off on submitting your Android app until that part of the tutorial begins. I get so many emails that it would be easy for me to miss it. The quality of the app will be based on numerous factors. It could do most anything. I could very well see a utility app like a conversion tool, or translation app winning as much as a game.

You can make the app using any tool that you want. You can also include others in the project. It can’t be on the app store currently however. I must be able to verify within the app that you created it. There will be additional rules as well, but these are the main rules.

Yes when the app part of the contest begins it can be any type of app. I haven’t decided how the judging will go aside from that.

That is very cool. It is ok to use Photoshop filters. I just meant that I wanted to keep people from taking a picture and then turning it into a watercolor with a click. What you did is great 🙂

As to your question, I believe the answer is yes.
I’m not saying you won, but you are in the final 3. Would the phone work in the Philippines though if you won? It is an international Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It is the European SIM model, which I know works in the Americas and Europe.
