Now the benefit’s I’m going to list are based on if you have a nicely designed newsletter that includes good content. If you send out ugly newsletter’s that are just crammed with ad’s you may not receive these benefits. I think email newsletters:

• Prove that you are for real in the online world, much like brochure’s prove your for real in the real world
• They give me a temporary boost in website hit’s immediately. (About 15%)
• Oddly enough people keep them and continue to access your site through them for normally a month, at least with mine?
• They help people find the most important information on my rather large site.
• By tracking what people click on in the newsletter, I get feedback on what is of interest to the general audience
• People like them, if they are nicely designed. So, they forward them to their friends, which equals more subscriber’s
• Your subscription base will grow on it’s own. In 4 months I have grown from zero to almost 400 subscriber’s, without spamming people.

General Tips on Email Newsletter’s

• Never ever spam people you don’t know. You’ll just get banned by all the email newsletter service’s.
• Dish out great content that people will find useful

• Only send out a newsletter every other week, in the beginning. Never send one out more than once a week!
• Track what people are clicking on and serve up more information on those subjects.
• Use the newsletter as a guide to all of your great new stuff online. You want to get them to see value in your website.
• I prefer MailChimp over all the other Email Newsletter System’s. Yes, including Constant Contact!
