Recording iPad Screen

Recording iPad ScreenI’ve received a bunch of requests on the best way for recording iPad screens. A bunch of you want to get into the lucrative world of recording games for YouTube I guess?

I’ve looked into the many ways to screen record ipad apps and I present the cheapest and easiest way here. I use a program called Reflection for screen recording ipad apps. This isn’t a sponsored message! It records both the video and sound from your app for all devices older than iPhone 4S and iPad 2. I show in the video below how easy it is to use.

Mac Game Controller

Best Mac Game ControllerI’ve been asked my opinion on the Best Mac Game Controller recently many times, so this weekend I tried a bunch of Mac game controllers out. Even though you may have heard otherwise, the XBox 360 controllers and the off brand versions don’t work consistently.

After trying 5 Mac game controllers, the best for the Mac is the PS3 Dualshock 3 Wireless. It connects effortlessly with the help of the Gamepad Companion 2.4, which you can download here for free. The only other thing you need is a USB 2.0 A to Mini-B Cable for charging you controller. Everything else you need to do is covered in the video below.

YouTube Video Blocked by Copyright Claims

Think Tank LogoLately I have had many videos taken down on YouTube because of false claims from the recording industry. It seems that the recording industry is just blindly making claims on everything on YouTube lately.

What is crazy about this is that I use Apple iLife royalty free music on all of my videos. That has not kept companies like EMI from either stealing my ad revenue (which I don’t care about), but they are now forcing videos to be deleted.
