Occasionally I’m challenged by you guys to beat a video game 🙂 Supposedly there are no Kingdom Rush iPad Strategy articles out there? I was told it was a pretty tough strategy game so I gave it a go.
Below I show you how I beat Kingdom Rush levels Sarelgaz Lair and the Ruins of Acaroth. These are the final 2 levels and if you can beat them, you can beat the rest.

I thought I’d have some fun today and do an Order and Chaos Review. Order and Chaos is available on the iPad / iPod and I can’t believe isn’t more popular.
It is basically a copy of the World of Warcraft formula, except that it is available on the wonderful Apple devices.
I’m not sponsored to do this tutorial and no this site isn’t going to become a game review site. I just like to have fun with my iPad every once in awhile 🙂
I haven’t written much about my iPad since I created my original review of the iPad. While there are many great apps available I wanted to point out one that needs to get more attention and that’s Blogsy.
If you run a blog the most irritating thing you have to do is grab content from multiple different sources. Blogsy eliminates all of that irritation and allows you to just access everything inside one nice little app.
I’m testing how well I can stay connected with my online life, with just an iPad. I’m currently on vacation near lake Erie and in this article we’ll see how well the iPad can handle email, working with documents, entertainment, limited access to the internet and making my vacation more fun.
After being asked many times, I’ll explain how to edit files easily (sort of) on the iPad. I’ll tell you which apps are the best for:
Apple Macintosh computers are great, but they all seem to have hard drive storage issues. Here I’ll show you how to:
1. Clean up your hard drive and eliminate clutter
2. Permanently delete files in your trash
3. Delete all cookies and cache system wide
4. Repair permissions on your mac files
5. Edit many system wide options using OnyX

First Get OnyX
I’m able to do all of the above with a free Macintosh tool called OnyX. Here is how you install it:
How to Delete Mac Trash
If you have a Mac, eventually you will have a problem deleting your trash. Laugh it up PC’s! OnyX will delete the trash everytime.
This might take a bit to process, but I guarantee it will permanently delete and over write all of your trash. It will even delete files that are locked or in use, so watch out.
Clean Up Mac Hard Drive
PC’s have a tool called CCleaner, that deletes cookies, and other garbage files system wide. You can do the same thing with OnyX:
Fix Permissions on Mac
Permissions get messed up on the Mac as well, leaving you unable to access your files. You can fix them by:
Change Settings on Mac
You can also change many settings in OnyX, that aren’t available in your general Settings program. Click on the Parameters icon in OnyX.

In this article I will wrap up the creation of the Tragic Eleven Ball App. We will create a icon for your app and then I’ll give you all the code you need. If you missed the first article, go check out Programming for iPhone Pt 1 first!
Creating an App Icon
To create an icon for your new app, create a good representative of what your app does and save it as a PNG file. The dimension’s must be 57 x 57 pixel’s. You don’t need to round the edge’s or add a glare to the button. The iPhone software does that for you. Here is the one I made, to the left. Save it as icon.png.
I took a trip to West Virginia and tested out how well the GPS and internet worked. You can see part of the trip in the video.
iPad AT&T Data Plan Speed
AT&T has different type’s of internet coverage provided through their data plan. I tested three of them on this trip. The New York Times site took about 35 second’s to load, on their worst coverage type called Partner Edge. Their highest signal strength called 3G, took about 18 second’s to load the same web page.
The iPad GPS
The good new’s is that the GPS didn’t lose it’s signal on the whole trip. It provides all of the different view option’s that Google provides. It is Google Map’s in essence.
The bad news is that there is no voice guided direction. So if you want to know where to turn you have to watch the screen. This doesn’t make for a safe driving experience. It’s a deal breaker for me.
