As per the software I use:
- I create my presentations using Apple Keynote
- I record screencasts using Quicktime X
- All videos are then edited using Apple iMovie.
- I use a Kodak Zi8 HD Camera also
If you are on a PC, I recommend that you use the following free tools:
- Open Office Impress for presentations
- Camstudio for recording
- Windows Movie Maker for editing
