Home Style Bean Curd Recipe

Home Style Bean Curd RecipeToday I present my Home Style Bean Curd recipe, which is also referred to as Mapo Tofu. This is comfort food on so many levels.

There are numerous flavors and textures going on with this dish. I also love that you don’t necessarily feel the heat in your mouth, but it releases a flood of heat and endorphins after you eat it. I don’t have many recipes that accomplish that. It is one of my favorite dishes period.  Continue reading Home Style Bean Curd Recipe

Scrambled Tofu Recipe

Scrambled Tofu RecipeHere is my Scrambled Tofu Recipe. Every once in a while I’m surprised by how good a recipe is. This recipe came from a health nut my mother in law knows in West Virginia. If you mix healthy with comfort food you get scrambled tofu.

There is quite a bit of sodium in this dish and actually I normally cut the salt out of this recipe all together, but for this video I decided to stay true to the original. Here is the video for my healthy sausage recipe, which I often eat with the scrambled tofu. Continue reading Scrambled Tofu Recipe

Homemade Chicken Broth Recipe

Homemade Chicken Broth RecipeHere is my homemade chicken broth recipe. I decided to cover it because by doing just a few uncommon things I was able to make a considerably better broth. I use this constantly in numerous recipes and I can’t imagine that someone would eat chicken broth from a can once they try this.

The recipe is pretty easy to remember because most of the ingredients are based on the amount of onion you use. I also teach how to make pesto because I use it in this recipe. Continue reading Homemade Chicken Broth Recipe

Spicy Bean Curd Recipe

Spicy Bean Curd RecipeHere is my Spicy Bean Curd Recipe. I love this recipe because it doesn’t lose its wonderful flavor as you increase the heat in the dish. I also love it because it can be made in 10 minutes and it has many flavors and textures you don’t find in most meals. The Bean Curd (Tofu) is delicate and yet firm. The scallions have a nutty subtle bite. I really enjoy it.

This version is not very spicy, but feel free to double the amount of chili paste and ginger to increase the heat. Continue reading Spicy Bean Curd Recipe
