Here I finish my WordPress Theme Tutorial by showing you how to create the archive and 404 pages.
I also show you how to issue custom queries and how to use a bunch of other WordPress functions in this tutorial.

In this part of my WordPress Theme Tutorial I fix all of the CSS for the main blog page. I layout the sidebars and fix up any errors that may have come out while making this theme.

Every once in a while I take a deep breath and reorganize my whole site. I never would have imagined that in 3 years I would have created over 700 articles and 500 videos.
So, here I have every article and video organized. I’ve added a new category for just WordPress Theme Development since I’ve made over 50 articles / videos on that subject alone.
Feel free to submit your tutorial requests below. Everything I make is based off of the requests that you make.
In this tutorial I finish up the How to Layout a Website Tutorial. If you missed the previous videos you can see them here at How to Layout a Website Pt 1, Pt 2, Pt 3 and Pt 4.
Here I’ll finish making the template used by all the individual web pages.
This time I create the template without any planning at all. I create the whole page completely out of my head. In the end I think it looks really nice.

Here I finish off the website I started creating in part 1 of How to Layout a Website.
I finish up the right sidebar and the footer. Then I move on to clean up any loose ends that exist.
I’ve made this whole website out of my head using just a photograph as a reference so that you can see how a designer thinks. Maybe more importantly you get a chance to see what mistakes I make and how to easily correct those mistakes.
In the previous tutorials How to layout a website Part 1 and Part 2 I created a website template from scratch. Here I continue that process.
As you see making a website is a process of placing each individual part of the page in a box (DIV) and then moving this boxes into the correct position.
I hope is that through repetition you will be able to recreate any design. It really isn’t that hard to make custom website templates. It just takes some practice.
In the last video / article How to Layout a Website, I showed you how to set up the header, import Google Web Fonts and the basics of CSS.
In the tutorial, I’ll show you how to make pretty complicated layouts. I show you how to overlay divs and how to make adjustments with CSS until everything looks perfect.
